I'll bring my camera to the body shop on Monday. Right now the car is "resting" at the towing company's temp lot, since the collision center had closed its doors for the weekend before the accident...

I've started scouring for the part I'm sure I'll need...the rim (if not two rims, left side took the hit). The lip was considerably cracked, which seems like it may need to be replaced. I'm keeping my eyes peeled in the "for sale" forum. Once I know exactly what will need replacing, I'll probably post a parts "wanted" thread. In the meantime, I should probably start visiting my local salvage yards...

Sorry to hear about your accident. I did the exact same thing about a year ago when my car was about month old. The back end came around, hit the curb, then I went up over the curb onto the sidewalk. I was able to drive away (barely). I posted almost the exact same message wanting to know what I had was looking at for repair. I had the dealer repair it to the tune of about 4k. Hope you have better luck. I drove the car like a little old lady for months after that and have abandoned high-speed turns altogether . Good Luck man.

Oh man, $4k would suck all kinds of arse! Sorry to hear that. I hope I am in the clear for that kind of bank.

I went by the collision center today and got some pics of my ride. It's obviously busted up, but it's hard to tell (visually) the full extent. (I haven't gotten the estimate yet, but it's queued up for it shortly). The pics show that the rim is busted and will definitely need to be replaced; perhaps along with the tire, but beyond that I can't tell that anything else is broken...maybe the control arm. Any S2000 MDs have a clinical diagnosis? I am crossing my fingers and hoping that I can sleep on my stomach without fear of taking it in....
...the wallet.

Busted lip.

????????

..bring out the gimp. Bum leg.

That rim will buff right out.

Seriously... sucks. At least you didn't crunch any panels.

the rest of it looks alright, but please DON'T take my word for it..

depending on the angle you hit, all the force may have been in the rim..

it does suck though, sorry
