I'm shocked. I thought that VSA would have prevented that from happening for sure. it doesn't look that bad, it almost looks like you could have driven yourself out of there. to me it looks like the only thing wrong would be your allignment gets messed up from hitting the mud sideways. Other than that since it didnt seem like you hit anything i don't think anything is wrong.

Thank god it doesn't look too bad, and that you were ok!

Maybe it's worth having a quick look under the car, just to see if there is anything obvious, loose/out of place etc, then go get it checked for alignment etc.

Most annoying thing is that it is most probably a mental thing... basically your brain is playing tricks on you!! lol

Once the car starts to hydroplane it's hard (or impossible) for even the electronics (VSA) to keep up. For better or worsre, no stability control system can repeal the laws of physics.

Ztrujillo, the car *looks* OK, but be sure to have it checked out carefully, especially if you year any new noises.

Was it cold, in addition to being wet?

Regarding the glass: My thinking is stiff chassis transfer shock to glass causing glass crack. The windshield pane flexes somewhat, and the seal absorbs shock, but if the the mounting is so stiff and transfers enough shock from impact of car to curb or to the low curb in the photo, then it can crack.

VSA on our car can only save us soo much. Hydroplaning at 50 mph is just pushing the limits.

It's not that easy to trip the VSA. I drove my car hard in the rain yesterday and the VSA didn't come on at all. I agree that VSA will not help when you are hydroplaning though.

You didn't hit anything right (other than the grass)? Hopefully the damage is minimal.
