only had the car 2 months and so my tires had to have 90%+ tread.....my friends that work at honda warned me saying most of the people they know have spun out in the s2k....

i guess i should have listened...
i was in a left turn lane and my friend told me it might be faster to go straight since the left turn lane was a red light...i changed into the other lane to go straight and gave it about 60-70% throttle...it was gettin to about 4500-5000 rpm when the back end started to fishtail around and then it just gave out on me and spun around clockwise into the curb to the right....

it hit the driver's side rear pretty bad and then the drivers side front rolled over the curb and onto the grass also... the rear wheel was angled outwards so im guessing it broke the "lower control arm" ?? but there was no body damage at all...im guessing its all just the driver's side rear suspension that needs work. anyone have any experience with this and the cost involved??

anything to make me less worried will help

im scared to drive in any wet conditions now...shouldve waited for the 06 with vsa..

the ground was wet? Thats a recipe for disaster as you have found out.

I learned my lesson about driving any more aggresively than a grandma when the ground is wet. You're lucky you only hit a curb. I hit a cement wall and totalled my S4.

Where you already out of the turn lane and going straight when you did this?

If the car was pointed sidewars I guess I could see it happening. What gear where you in?

Granted I've only had the car for a few days, but thus far I haven't seen it to be to tough when in good conditions. Was it wet?

I had my 05 S2000 6 month so far with 10000 miles, I had two incidents where I felt my rear end lost traction. 1st time slightly under dry condition, 2nd time little more serious (last for couple seconds) when making a left turn under wet condition under very low speed. I was able to regain control both incidents. Now, I'm driving very conservatively in wet condition. When making any kind of lane change or turns under wet condition, try not push the throttle at all or very slightly.

I did a 180 in the car on cold tires in 30 deg weather.I didn't hit anything but scared everyone in the other lane.

Learned a lesson, cold tires and cold weather don't mix.

hope you get everything fixed soon. ya s2ks hate cold/rain, you just have to drive like a grandma.

i spun out the same way... on a U turn. in a wet condition road. the first day I got the car. I was trying to see what the car could do.

exact same thing happened to me and my alighnment got seriously ****ed. I went and got it checked and even at max setting the camber is off by 1.4 degrees positive on the driver side front and rear which hit the curb and took all the damage.

i am also wondering whats the most common suspension component to get damaged?

umairejaz how much did it cost to get fixed!? is your camber still off after you fixed it?
