Sports Car Revolution calls the S a "chick car"
#22
I sent them and speed an email about a year ago, telling them to get some younger more in touch people in the tuner episodes, they were missinformed, out of touch, and dorky, nobody would take there advice.
It's a stupid show, I'm suprised it's still on the air.

Damn you guys get hyped up quick. I remember years back when a F1 driver drove it for one of the car mags and said it was the closest thing he'd been to driving one similar to his F1 on the street. What's Sports Compact reviewing a car that is 6 years old like it is a brand new model??????? Truth is there are hundreds of reviews raving about it years ago, no need for some late comers to review a car that still holds its own despite having aged tech. Even Consumer Reports raved about it when it came out and continues to do so every year.

I just posted on this 2 days ago. They said much more stupid things then this. I think they meant for picking up chicks.
SCR New Car Test 05 S2000
Latest episode of SCR has boy racer Chip (really his name is Chip, I'm not making that up) driving a 05 S2000. It was nice to finally see an S on TV, even if it was only for about 3 minutes.
Chip needs to work on his review skills, I think he might have completed 2 or 3 sentences and only contradicted himself 1 or 2 times.
The best quote I can take from his review of the S: "it has gobs of torque" or "go through the gear box at 8500RPM"
It really takes away the validly of his other statements like: 'when compared to MX-5, Solstice or Z4 the S is in a league of its own' or 'the S is the Rolls Royce of Honda' It's more like the Corvette of Honda, the S isn't a 5 ton luxo!

I have accidentally caught parts of a couple episodes of SPR, and can not see why anybody would watch a whole show, or give any credence to anything they say.

I also did a rewind at the start of the show. I heard 'chick magnet', but after the rewind, he said 'chick car.' I agree, I think it was a mistake, but if not, that's his opinion.
Yes, Chip does need to do a better job of reviewing cars and yes, his statement about 'gobs of torque' was pretty funny.
I have saved my DVR'ed copy of the show for another reason though, the '77 Capri that Kazzer (this guy is the worst) reviewed. I loved my '76 2.8
