Actually Sport Compact Car will be doing comparison testing of at least 4 "Tuner" S2000's next Monday, 5/7/01, in southern California. My car is the Neuspeed project S2000 and will be at the test. There will be a subsequent article by Dave Coleman in SCC.

WARNING!!!!

Sport Compact car featured my web site 2 times about 2+ years ago (CLUB SOL)... and they had a feature on our CLUB SOL national meet. They will do everything and anything to alter or change real facts about anything they publish. We sent them a press release telling them how the weekend festivities went. When it hit their magazine it some how changed to "Sport Compact Car was at the event and we gave t-shirts way".. a complete and utter lie. they didn't even get our hosts name printer correctly nor his web page address. the other 2 articles were so completely off on our web page. they somehow hit a "frame" of our page and posted the link to it. this frame had no navigation on it and wondered where the contact was and actually printed this. We were so pissed I switched the page to a link telling all the readers who navigated to it what we though of SCC, then promptly pointed them to the main page. It was kinda funny.

I have read SSC since it first came out years and years ago.. this magazine exemplifies twisted editing and almost evil advertising gimmicks. If you can locally think about 90% of their article, they are paid for by the aftermarket manufacturer they are supposedly non-biasly speaking about. Its almost pitiful. there was the supposed "SSC" del Sol article of the Progressive springs del Sol pulling 1.10 lateral G... anyone would think it was their article but the same article showed up in 4 other magazines like turbo, Super street etc... an obvious paid advertisement.

I won't debate the other stuff, it may all be true; but with this item the issue is that all of those magazines are owned and run by the same company. I buy it to look at all the pretty pictures.

Just FYI, I confirmed the time/etc. I will be there at 9:00 AM. I don't know if they'll have extra spots, but they're getting their dyno's for $35. So someone like Tim might want to see what the intake and exhaust have done. Just a thought, we'll have to see on Saturday.

Dont get all excited cause they make you think your car has a chance to get on the cover.. SCC came up to me in dallas this weekend i have a Super Charger in my S2000 and a ton more mods than yours.. dont hold your breath.. just the super charger wont get you in you need a bunch more stuff and it better be original and new.. so good luck .. and if it is not a cover its not worth it..

We've had a similar experience with SCC. We (NSX club) had a dyno day here in Phoenix. SCC was there, they spoke to no one, took several pictures then proceeded to print incorrect dyno numbers and missmatched the picture of the car with its dyno run. I no longer trust anything I see in that magazine.
