Spoon STB and AEM/PRM/INJEN CAI
I've done a quick search and did not find the answer I was hoping for. Some strongly insisted it will not fit (sell you another brand), some insisted there is a way to get it to fit (adding extra washers) and for some it just fits (miracle).
I'm worrying that the extra washers method would negate the effectiveness of the STB. The contact surface area is reduced and the strength of the bolt is also reduced (decreased in thread). Could someone enlighten me whether these concerns are valid?

I'm currently running a Spoon STB with an Injen CAI. I didn't have to use spacers or washers but the intake and the STB do touch. When the engine is at low speed i.e. idling, there is a slight rattle. Some have solved this by slipping a small piece of rubber between the two. I personally woundn't worry about using spacers for the STB, the car is so damn rigid, a STB really doesn't do anything for it. In my opinion, it just adds sparkle to the engine bay.
