Changing brake pads is easier with the spoon calipers, and they are lighter (I believe) but I doubt they offer any noticiable braking difference from an OEM caliper (Assuming identical pads and rotors.)

People who say "if you are seriously tracking your S on the stock calipers, you WILL experience brake fade" have never even come close to the limits of the stock braking system with good race pads and a DOT4 fluid.

The only benefit with the Spoon calipers is a slight weight reduction and better cooling ability.

Do you know that your TIRES have more of an effect on stopping distance than ANY (well maintained) brake system?
I am all for easier brake changes, I am all for lighter weight, I am all for bling bling (alothough, I don't really consider baby blue a bling bling color.) I am all for enhanced cooling.
I am ALSO all for facts. And the fact is that your 4 piston calipers are NOT clamping the pad any harder. More evenly mabey. You are not getting any more pad contact than the stock caliper. And for sure, you are not stopping any sooner with these than with the stock calipers (with track pads, and DOT4 fluid.)
