thanks a lot!
actually I have spoon rims so I guess I don't havee to put spacer in.
Spoon made different offsets for their rims so yours may not fit. If your front offset is +35 (more rare) the calipers will fit without issues, if your front offset is +45 you will need a 10mm spacer.

Nice, I have had my eye on these for a while.
I am just leary about running spacers. Are there any down sides to running spacers with the stock 06-07 wheels?
I have run spacers of 20mm, done almost 10 full track days and more then 20 000kms and no problems at all.

No, i

I tested several times my setup (Spoon calipers, project MU SCR-PRO rotors and Ferodo DS3000 pads) agains the OEM setup on track and more then once and the results where all the same.......
How much of that was due to the pads and rotors and how much to JUST the calipers?

It's hard to make the calipers work any better/more efficently than the stock calipers.

Changing brake pads is easier with the spoon calipers, and they are lighter (I believe) but I doubt they offer any noticiable braking difference from an OEM caliper (Assuming identical pads and rotors.)

Great, so what were the stopping distances before and after? 60 to 0? 70 to 0? 100 to 0? Surely you have real numbers to back up your claims right?

I call until you provide proof.

People who say "if you are seriously tracking your S on the stock calipers, you WILL experience brake fade" have never even come close to the limits of the stock braking system with good race pads and a DOT4 fluid.

Do all you skeptics know the Spoon Monoblocks are FOUR piston calipers compared to the stock one piston 2 block setup????

I think its quite obvious that 4 pistons are gonna squeeze the brake disc at a much greater force then that of a one piston caliper.
Nope.

Same amount of force (if not a bit less).

The only benefit with the Spoon calipers is a slight weight reduction and better cooling ability.

Do you know that your TIRES have more of an effect on stopping distance than ANY (well maintained) brake system?

I am all for easier brake changes, I am all for lighter weight, I am all for bling bling (alothough, I don't really consider baby blue a bling bling color.) I am all for enhanced cooling.

I am ALSO all for facts. And the fact is that your 4 piston calipers are NOT clamping the pad any harder. More evenly mabey. You are not getting any more pad contact than the stock caliper. And for sure, you are not stopping any sooner with these than with the stock calipers (with track pads, and DOT4 fluid.)
