Default To spoiler or not to spoiler?

That is the question.

Sup everyone, I picked up my 02 NFR s2k last Tuesday, have been thinking about what I want to do with the car. The other day my wife says she saw an s2k with the factory spoiler and said it looks pretty good. What do you guys think? I was thiking about purchasing one, should I do it?

Thanks for the input...

That all depends what you are going for....are you trying to go for an all out body kit with spoiler or just the little jdm spoiler? My opinion, screw all the body kit stuff. Just get the jdm spoiler, carbon fiber hood and trunk and you're set. So fresh and so clean!!

i personally like the spoiler-less look, but some might like the factory spoiler although it has no functionality.

congrats on your purchase. I have to tell you in my opinion Powerhouse Amuse's lip looks awesome on a NFR.

The spoiler has no downforce? Paint has no functionality either.

i heard the original (00-03) spoiler provides SOME downforce. Not sure about the new (04+) type. I like the new one myself.

I added the trunk spoiler to MY01 NFR & love the look.
Blends in perfectly with the trunk contour
Go for it.
I bought it form someone on this site & had the dealer install it.
I'm very happy with it

Uh... actually, the paint prevents the body from corroding.

... to spoiler.

I think the S looks a little naked without it. The original spoiler flowed gracefully with the car. It had a little lip that stuck iff the back at the top. I think (IMO) the new spoiler was inspired by the fast and furious crowd and the penny pushers at Honda.

Here are our pics from Dragonball Run this year. There are alot of cars with spoilers and without.

Dragonball '05

Hope this helps!
