I've been practicing a little heeltoe. It's a little tricky, but I'll get better eventually.

I put it in neutral when coming to a stop and sitting at a light...otherwise you are just wearing out your throw-out bearing.

Is it bad to turn while in neutral or depressing the clutch while turning? Should the car always be in gear when the car is in motion except when coming to a stop?
Wow. Just wow. And the decline continues...

Related question:
If you guys are cruising on 5th or 6th gear and need to come to a complete stop pretty quickly. do you guys go into neutral and stop? Or shift down all the gears back to 2nd while stopping.

Hit the brakes, clutch in at ~1500 with no gear shift if it's a emergency or near emergency stop. No time to down shift.

Yeah coming to a stop I take it out of gear at about 1500 rpm as well. Look guys if you don't know how to drive a manual properly, why did you buy a manual car?

I taught my girlfriend how to drive manual a few weeks ago and she's better at it than you.

Just kidding (sort of). The car gets squirrely in neutral at speed. Best to keep it in gear.

He should have asked these questions before he got behind the wheel.
