Speeding Ticket Blues
#11
I just got a ticket a week ago. Havent had a ticket in at least 15 years. 92 in a 68. I didnt even try to argue, lol. I was boxed in by a shit box in front, a semi trailer on my right. Saw a tiny opening at the crest of a very small hill...sure enough...im pinched.

I agree with most of the above. I've only had my S for a few months but if I was going to keep the speed limit on the highway all the time I'd go ahead and sell it. I live in WV which is pretty rural and lots of the secondary roads are barely patrolled if at all. As long as you are not behind some old timer going 10 under, you can have fun. When I get on the interstate I like to cruise around 80-85 as much as possible with occasional jaunts to higher speeds. My car will likely never see a track. I'm not going to put out the expense or take the time, plus I have other hobbies that occupy my time and money.

He got a ticket because he broke the law. Not because of bad luck or wrong place/wrong time...

You didn't get a ticket because you have a fun sportscar, you got a ticket for the same reason most people do.
Bad luck, wrong place/wrong time etc.
Be aware, be careful and drive on.

I've read that some states are now ticketing the slow drivers in the left lane. Some state post that the left lane is for passing only. That is the law in Arizona, as well, yet "slower traffic keep right" is posted in maybe 3 places in the state.

$20 surcharge for admitting to it on the internet, where people with nothing better to do will get their kicks pointing out what they feel are your character flaws.
Never admit anything (especially accidents or tickets) on the internet; don't even use the "my stupid brother-in-law got a ticket" ploy, it does not work.

Amen, as they should. Slow pokes holding up the fast lanes create just as much of a problem. They too are "breaking the law" and should get nailed. I wish the states would enact very strict left lane loafer laws.
