what if the licence given to the hickville officer was an old licence from another state but not the current licence which was obtained without turning in the previous licence which was "conveniently" lost.

A few years ago I got a speeding ticket in NC. Caught in a speed trap. Pissed me off. I didn't pay it. About a year later, my insurance company lets me know they have cancelled my ins because my Florida license was suspended. NC had notified FL of the ticket and non payment. FL officials notified my Ins company. A really big mess. I had to send a cashiers check and get a reciept from the NC courts to show FL officials and my Ins company to get my license and Ins re-instaded. Bottom line. Pay the ticket. I think all states exchange info and they will get you in the end.

Funny you should ask this.....I just got outta court Friday trying to keep a key employee of mine from being extradited to Wisconsin. Seems he got a ticket a long, long, time ago. He was pulled over in Wyoming and the warrant from Wisconsin appeared. He was jailed immediately in Wyoming (as they could not tell what the warrant was for). His crime, failure to pay a speeding ticket. If he had payed the ticket it would have been about 200 bucks. The fine is now on the order of 1,500 + attorneys fees. He payed the 1,500 and got stuck with 100 hours of community service. His first question leaving court...if I don't do the community service and don't go back to Wyoming will I get caught? Some people never learn!!
