Speeding Ticket (:
So i got a speeding ticket today,
yes yes i know i was speeding and that its wrong.
So no flaming!
the officer gave me the ticket and he left and i made a phone call and then left too.
so my friend was looking at the ticket and
on the section saying
vehicle make, he put DELSOL LOL
i guess the cop thought it was a delsol for some reason... LOL
so because he put delsol does it invalidate the ticket at all?? its a S2000 not a delslow haha
but i dont mind facing my consequences because i did wrong.
but if i could get off of it, it would be better (:

You should be able to get off because of that, but it'd take going to traffic court. Unless it's going to raise your insurance it's probably not worth your time. In most cases you will have to make to appearances. The first time you will go and wait several hours to enter your not guilty plea. Then you will make your second appearance to argue your case. You'll probably want to show up with a better argument than simply stating "I drive an S2000 and the officer wrote Del Sol"
My question is why did he get the wrong info, usually they are copying it off your registration. Is your vehicle registered incorrectly? Is your VIN number registered incorrectly?

The model being wrong is not usually enough to invalidate the ticket. The judge usually doesn't care what your driving. Doesn't matter if its a sports car or a minivan, speeding is speeding. In the end it really depends on the judge.
