I had a squeak a while ago, found this thread for the solution.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...ght=door+squeak

It would have taken me forever to find that squeak had Pinky not posted his solution. It never sounded like it was coming from the door, but it was.

Ok! the answer is very simple! It's the catch for the hood ...it needs a dob of grease and it will cure it!

Red Beauty, you made my heart jump with happy expectation. I hope it's that simple. I'm doing that and the door thing this evening.

Gonna turn my black squeaking beauty into a greased ...

Used silicone grease and spray on the hood latch. Still squeaking away.

Hey,

Anyone ever find out what this squeak was? I'm having the same thing, only on the rear on the driver's side.

It was the hood latch. Took John Rathman at Fladeboe Honda in Irvine to find it and fix it. Don't know exactly how the hood latch caused a sound which appeared to originate from low on the firewall, but I haven't heard the sound since John announced he had found the problem and fixed it.

I had the exact same issue, I found out it was a combo of things. The hood latch is one source, another source is the hood bump stops. You know, those little rubber things you can twist to have your hood sit correctly when it's closed. Grease those and grease the latch and the noise is gone... so simple, it made me sick to think about it...
