D'oh! I guess I made my post too believable. I was just kidding. Totally sounds like a scam. I suppose it could happen though... wife wanting to dump the husband's beloved car ASAP due to a bitter divorce type of scenario.
Sorry to mislead! I appreciate that you didn't flame me for being such a sucker to fall for the scam.

has anyone checked the VIN # yet?
For those who don't browse craigslist a lot they have this posted on every page of the site:
Avoid scams and fraud by dealing locally! Beware any deal involving Western Union, Moneygram, wire transfer, cashier check, money order, shipping, escrow, or any promise of transaction protection/certification/guarantee.
I'm not familiar with how the scams are 'supposed' to work but how do they get any money out of this? make a deposit then they disappear?

the final price is $8,000. I ask a little for this great Honda since I am passing through a divorce with my husband and I need to get rid of it fast.

I actually have the CarFax for this vehicle, it is a black Honda S2000 CR with 2,500 miles that was sold in Tucson, AZ in May of 2010. This is still a scam. The first owner bought it under a fraudulent name so it has a stolen record on it before it was reclaimed in CA and then sold in AZ. I really wanted this car because the deal is a little unbelievable but I have pulled off larger ones for other things.
I actually wanted to believe this was real, because I am in dire need of a S2000 to replace my old 2000 Honda Accord. I am just so bored of the traditional four door sedan.
