This site http://www.alterpower.co.uk/ sells a device that cuts power to the alternator on full throttle. Supposedly gives a 2-6hp improvement. I think it cost a little over $200. There's a dyno chart run with a VW GTI to "prove" it. I don't know how credible these guys are but if it works I'd buy it.....Too bad I never heard of these guys cause if Mugen made it'd bought in a second......but then again it would be priced more like $800+ (knowing them). Anybody ever hear of this thing?

 

You can do it for 10-15 bucks using a vac switch wired into the alternator's sensing line. Make sure the car doesn't do this already as some cars will from the factory. Their unit is pricey since they are wired into the high current side of the alternator. On one of my Bimmers I used the vac method and gained about 2 HP at WOT.

Thanks but I have no clue if the S2K does this already....seems to make sense that it would but I'm no mechanic....maybe someone else around here knows.
