No, regrets....maybe I should have waited for the 2002 model with some extra Standard items...like glass rear window, upgrade sound system.
btw...maybe try out of state purchase...for MSRP....dealers in the Northeast are selling them for MSRP. If you don't mind the drive back or have to transported to Cali.

I sold (in process actually) a late 80's 911 in great shape, meaning it was still very tight. Hands down the S2000 is a better sports car, it doesn't have the panache but it beats it in every other catagory. Now this shouldn't be a huge surprise as the 911 in question was 14 years old. However, the performance was on par with the 968 that you sold. I think you will be very happy with the S. It is built better, cheaper to own, as rigid as your hard top and a joy to drive.

Hugh,
Thanks for the reply.... I am now almost sold... I will test drive a used one this weekend to make sure that I will fit confortablly, as I am 6"2 and 190Lbs.
Porsche are great car, but the maintenance bills were just ridiculous... not worth it, at least at this stage of my life.
I liked the 968 because it had the 50/50 weight distribution and very neutral handling... Many Porsche afficionados did not consider it as a true Porsche because it was had a front-engine and 4 cylinders. Performance was very good as I managed to get a 0-60 in 5.4 sec and the 1/4 miles in 13.9 (my car was slightly modded)...
I truly can't wait to have an S2K though... Even if it lacks the panache that a Porsche has, its limited availability will assure some exclusivity as well.

There's a used yellow s2000 at the Honda Concord dealership. An employee there owns it and is selling it. I believe he has ~3000 miles on the car. I know this car has been in the market for quite some time now. I work a couple of blocks from the dealership so I often see the car. Initially, he was asking $39K for it but I think he's lowered the price quite a bit since no one's biting.
