Default Soft top tray

Is there a way to easily remove the soft top tray? Or do I need to remove the entire center console?

From what I can remember you have to remove the center console, the rollbar plastic covers at the back, and then the plastic strips that go around the back of the tray, basicly everything around the tray, the center console was the most difficult part to remove and replace from what I can remember.

I had mine apart when replacing the roof so I had everything removed so I might be wrong with bits that have to be removed for the tray only, there are a few clips that hold the tray in place, you have to lift the tray up or push it from underneath in the spare wheel area to remove it.

For the next guy researching this and reading this thread, no you don't nees to remove anything except the strips above the tray.

There are push in type plasric rivot clips. Alomg the back above tray, and in front paet of tray, in back of roll hoops. That all you need to remove.

If you have a rear defroster there is a retaining clip for the wire to remove as well.

Good to know. Hopefully it will help the next guy. I ended up taking the enter console out, but it wasn't terrible.
