Default Soft top clamps, any adjustment?

The previous owner replaced the top on my new 2K and anything over 40 it whistles like crazy, but if I pull down on the handle, it stops. The right clamp seems tight, but the left one could be tighter.

I looked around the clamp and didnt see any obvious adjustment points. Whats the deal?

Thanks ahead of time.

Open the clamp, loctite the philips head screws on the roof portion of the latch.

Also make sure the striker plate on the windshield frame is tight. You have to remove plastic trim to see those screws.

If those fail, then use a small piece of aquarium tubing on the end of the hook to pull the roof those 2mm tighter.

Your welcome!

Just finished putting a pair of 14 ga. washers behind the anchors. Im gonna cut a couple little rectangular plates on the CNC monday, and try them out for size. Maybe I could sell a kit

The guy changed the soft top right before selling it and he claims the top needs to stretch out and this is why it doesnt close the last inch like my dads S2K... any thoughts on this one?

check to see if you have the newer hardtop strikers, they tighten things up a bit over the older style of strikers. On my hardtop I removed some spacers under the locks, can't remember if the softop has the spacers too, I should check my shop manual to see. Last thing is to add washers under the strikers if all else fails, that should be the last way to resolve it if nothinge else works.

The washers did the trick, no whistles up to 60mph.
