Default Soft top after hard top.

Hi...I currently own a 2001 S2000 and my brother decided to go get one for himself. We found a 2002 S2000 at the dealer and might go pick it up today...anyways I searched about the hardtop removal and the install but still have a question. The 2002 S2000 that we are picking up today comes with the OEM hard top. He does'nt like the hard top and would like to sell it...anyways if the hard top is removed will the soft top be useable like before? Or is it a little more complicated than that? Thanks for the help

If the softtop hasn't been removed, it should be plenty useable. I would check it out before making a purchasing decision, though (read - take off the HT and try the ST).

However, some people have removed the ST and mechanism in order to save weight. So it might not have a ST at all.
