Ha, Ha. This is so funny cause I catch myself doing the same thing. Cruising in the mountains near the speed limit, and the "warning-curve" sign says slow to xx mph--and I accelerate! The S2K just goes around the turn, not even any tire squeal. And, too, it does seem to back-off the texas pick-up trucks on your tail.

edge, what is with the sarcasm? all I did was assume that the initial poster did not do this "speed up in turns" thing in a blind turn. then I posted what I do. you read way too much into my post.

During the weekends around here, there's usually a slow driver going through the twisties holding everyone up. So to have any fun in times like this, I like to drive real slow on the straights to let traffic pull way ahead, and then speed through the curves to catchup. Of course, I only do this when there isn't traffic behind me...

I don't speed up so much as I just don't slow down. Unless there's a big-ass pick-up truck on my tail, as is soooo common these days, love to leave them tipping in the corners as I power through, oh the joy of it all.

One of my favorite things to do in the S2K is to look at the speed limit posted for the turn and take it much faster. It's pretty easy to take the turn at 1.5 to 2 times the posted limit.
I also like losing cars behind me in turns. Always fun to do that.
