I've recently noticed that while driving my S2000, I speed up for the bends in the road, then slow back down to the speed limit (or whatever my cruising speed was) when the road straightens out. It doesn't happen in any of my other three cars (but probably is worse on my Ducati motorcycle).
I speed up in turns especially if I've been tailgated by some dumb jerk in "regular" vehicle. Then I watch in the rear view as they try to keep up with me and realize their POS can't do it. I can just imagine the smell in that car as the tires start to squeal and he's hitting the brakes as he's heading for the curb or ditch and saying to himself, "OH SH!!!!!!T ".
Oh lets give kamehamaha ...whatever that is.. the safe sports car drivers award....
The car will perform better through the turns if you dont let off, and possibly break traction due to the weight transfer.. but actually accelerate through... It just feels natural...right?? lol
i thought i was the only one who speeds up in turns...
i go 50, turn comes, 75 LOL, straight road again, ... back down to 50...
IT'S JUST MORE ENTERTAINING!
YES! I cruise at "normal" speeds on longer straights but DEFINITELY take turns faster aftger speeding up for them to get the full "feel" out of the turns. Definitely more entertaining!
I once had a girlfriend who touched my leg sweetly and said. "One of the things I love about you is that you always speed up when you see a 'curves ahead' sign."
