I went to a bobaloca place as I had a craving for some boba. It was almost midnight and I noticed that in front of the store there was 3 cars. A civic si, an old mr2 and a 240sx. All of them had a aftermarket exhaust and the toyota and nissan had rims and were lowered. They werent anything special but you could tell that the owners were some kids doing what they can to trick out their rides. There was a bunch of people there already, which I found odd since it was so late.
I noticed that they occupied all the parking spots except the one right smack in front of the store. As soon as I parked there all eyes were on me. There was almost a total silence and as I walked in the store. I noticed that all those people, including the ones working there were all friends and family using the place as a hang out spot. I felt like I walked in to a exclusive asian club. Thats when I noticed that I was actually the only customer there.
it wasnt a particular uncomfortable feeling as I was greeted with a bunch of smiles while I ordered my drink, but I could feel all the guys itching to ask me about my car.
After I got my drink I simply walked back to my car and as I drove off, I could see them looking at me and talking. I have a feeling that if I go back to that same place, I'm gonna make a lot of new friends
AND THEN I DID A BARREL ROLL!!!!!

LOL funny replies.
Boba has nothing to do with anything bubble. It's actually a very interesting milkshake type drink with fun chewy things inside to entertain the otherwise boring sippage.
I think the concoction originates from Asia and that's why it's popping up all around Asian stores. It is also very popular with the younger crowd. We have weekly meets here at boba joints and some really nice cars show up. Nobody looks at anybody else funny because we respect the effort put into modding. The store owners usually even know us by name.
I suggest everyone try the drink. It's good stuff.

Boba is a type of tapioca consisting entirely of starch. It originated in Taiwan in the 80s. The term bubble tea is used by tea stands in Asia where they use cocktail mixer cups to shake the tea as to create bubbles in the tea. I'm not sure what that actually does to the tea, but I'm assuming it's to cool off the hot tea with the ice.

To those who have not heard of it, it's mainly an asian/teenager thing. No offense intended btw.
My friends and I literally stop by and grab some milk tea EVERY NIGHT. It's become a habit, sort of like drinking water.
About the guys staring at you thing, it's because they were checking out your car as you pulled in, and wanted to see who drove it. We do the same when we see nice cars pulling up.
