This might also help. Ap2 also has a heavier flywheel, causing the clutch to slip at higher RPMs

It was an 07 with 88k miles listed for 16,997, located in lake worth Fl.
That price seems very high, doesn't it? Mine was a nearly pristine 2003 with 51K miles when I picked it up in November 2012 for $13.5K. (I live in Tampa). So it seems like you could do a lot better on the price, or get a lower-miles one in the same price range, or both. Maybe you should post up some more details in the official "Is this car worth it?" thread. Anyway, glad you like the S, and welcome to the forum!
The year matters a fair bit.

So many improvements on the AP2 make it worth a few grand easy.

now looking at this car : http://www.spanosmotors.com/inventor...ls/?autoid=857

Price still seems high but it is a single owner car with 55k miles which isn't bad at all. The wood grain interior kinda makes me think it wasn't a kid who had this car, most likely an older guy which is reassuring. Going to take a look at it on tuesday

One thing i don't like is that wing on the back, in fact i hate it. Please someone tell me that it isn't screwed down through the trunk and will leave multiple holes in it

Oh snap a luxury s2k lol. Yup its bolted down (4 holes will be left when removed). Maybe it might grow on you if not buy another trunk lid.

Interesting, not that many S2000 wood trimmed interior around. Personally not a fan of it, kind of reminds me of an old Hyundai wood trimmed interior from the early 2000's lol.

But you were right, it could suggest a mature original owner.

A "mature" original owner ... perhaps a 70yo with no taste! Spartan though the S's interior is, that wood grain interior is totally wrong for the car imo. Probably significantly devalues it as well. And since you don't like the spoiler, I would do yourself a favor and wait for a better example. I would check out autotrader and cargurus.

The fake wood is gross. The ivory (tan?) leather is gorgeous. That's the first S2000 I've seen with that color interior. Is it rare?

Let's not assume an older driver is easier on the car. I've got a friend who drives like a grandpa. 61k and he's replacing his clutch. I've got almost twice that on a car driven a lot harder.

Old driver might also mean a lot of short trips.
