I just had one delivered from Honda Cars of Mesa in Arizona.
I live in Newport Beach. Cost was $600 over MSRP, no options required, so it was something like $33,363 or so.
They said I could not pick it up in AZ due to the fact that I was a California resident, so for $250 they shipped it to my doorstep. They offered to drive it to Blythe so I could take delivery over the border, but I didn't want anyone else putting the break in miles on the car. They fedexed all the sales documents/etc. to me, so I incurred another $90 or in Notary fees, and there was another $200 AZ document fee, or something like that.
I have to go next week to DMV and pay tax/registration on the car. Overall, it was a good experience dealing with Mark Gyger (sales@hondacarsofmesa.com), as the dealers around here were a pain the ass to talk to, and I didn't want to deal with driving to each dealership in Socal to try to get close to MSRP. Closest red S2000 I found in SoCal was something like $39,000 with a bunch of those crappy "dealer installed options".
I had a friend in AZ drive by to check the car at the dealership out to make sure it was in perfect condition. The car was delivered yesterday in perfect shape, with 11.8 miles on it.

Wow,
I never thought I'd see the day I was driving the same car as Doug Hayashi! (actually I was always hoping I'd join you with an NSX one day) I'm a NSXCA member, cause I work at our local Acura store. Love your page and videos, will you take the S2000 to the Hill Climb? I think it would be pretty cool to see how it does.

Doug,
I agree it's a wonderful car for around town. Don't let all the talk about lack of torque fool you, it has plenty of speed around town. I don't know if you remember my friend Keene, he has a '91 NSX with the Comptech headers, CF airbox, and exhaust. I think he got the second "revised" model right after you finished road testing it. He also has your three videos, BTW, when is the fourth coming out?

Hey guys, thankx for all the feedback... well i took your guys' advise and i went to Penske, Ontario and i bought a yellow/black with a few forced options... i ended up paying 36k. BTW the forced options included all body moldings, spoiler and alarm... What should my first mod be??? the K&N filter perhaps???

You should do the JR filter. It's a better fit and doesn't require cutting of the airbox. I think Mingster is having a group buy on them right now.
