Default Snow question

Hey I am planning on buying a 2005 S2000 in the next week or so and I had a question about snow. I live in the Chicago area and will be off to college in the fall, my car wont be with me and will be garage kept at my house. I would not plan on driving every day if there was snow on the ground but if I had to can the S2000 get anywhere when there is snow on the ground?

I use Continental ExtremeContact DWS (all season) and I did fine last winter. Only drove on plowed roads but even with 4" snow on early mornings I did fine. Throttle control is everything. I bought my S2K last october and being my first RWD experience I went ahead and found an empty parking lot to learn the feel of the car on snow.

Get a front lip. Then you may also plow your driveway with the S.

Buy a home out west.

Snow tires make all the difference in the world. It begs the question, however: why? Expose it to salt and crap and grime and crime?

Nope.

OP: If you haven't already, wander on over to the Wheels and Tires section of the forum where you can research the latest about tire choices and such stuff.

Best wishes!
