Personally I would go with clear JDM, although I am biased. Go with what suits you best.

Here's a couple with the clear diffuser

Here's a naked one

This is more of a head-on picture, that I don't think looks as good. You'll have to work your way through it. Click on the image in the middle of the page. The pic of the black S2K is on the bottom right.

I've cleared a schload of cars and honestly the best answer (besides personal choice) to your specific question is that clearing a Berlina's OEM amber diffusers and replacing them with smoked/amber/nekkid dresses up the car 100%. The beauty of our headlight design is somehow "diminished" IMO with the inclusion of the amber diffusers. With the chrome highbeam area, and the black insert area, along with the amber diffused area...its as though our beautiful headlights are just "too busy." Yet, take that one color (amber) out of the equation and replace it with a clear or smoked diffuser (not as paritial to the nekkid look personally...but it works and to each his own), and then you have a "less cluttered" looking headlight. With clear/nekkid, its as though the chrome highbeam area and the clear/nekkid diffused area sort of "bookend" each other within the headlight assembly. If you go with a smoked diffuser, it tends to "finish out" the black inserts.

Again...either way you'll find more satisfaction with them cleared than left amber (a statement I can make because you are interested in having them removed...I know there are those that love their OEM amber diffusers just the way they are, and to each their own ).

I went with smoked for both. Seemed like smoked fit the Berlina a bit better than the clears...

Not the best pictures to show them, but it's all I have right now...
