smaller radiator

smaller radiator
I was looking for a smaller radiator but couldnt find one for the s2000. I need one with a smaller horizontal width so I can create a custom ram-air intake. More importantly, are there any issues with having a smaller radiator? Would I need any additional modifications (i.e. aftermarket thermostat , aftermarket fan switch)?

This might be one of the worst ideas I've ever heard of. Everything we've seen shows that an intake makes little to know performance improvement in the car. But you want to remove your radiator, get a SMALLER one, so you can make some sort of custom "ram-air" (which is pretty much bull$hit) intake?
Do yourself a favor, leave the radiator alone and get a K&N.

If you change out the honda fan to a racing fan, it opens up the whole right side of the radiator. Combine that with an aut plate and a thermostat/switch changeout. It works fine with my sc setup. There's a thread on here about using aut plate and various mods people have come up with. Mine feeds a custom airbox. I divert the fan flow down and out with the airbox bottom.

Mines set up for an sc I don't how much my pics would help you. I looked I don't have any pics in here other than this one and all you can see is the Aut plate. Search AUT plate on here and check out some of the stuff dolebludger and others have done with n/a ram intakes. There's lots of pics there.
I don't think you're going to get any more hp per se but it sure does help heat soak and I live where it's hot all the time.

It would be illogical to say that you do not make more power when more air is introduced into the engine (or at least make it less restrictive).

Maybe so but I have different ideas. I plan on getting a bigger throttle body, bigger intake piping and a filter to match.
