Small light scratches on shifter...
#12
I replaced mine with Rick's Polished Titanium VooDoo knob and now have my old knob on my desk. I'm looking at right now and dont see any real scratches and I probably had about 15k miles when I replaced it.
I can see more scratches on my Rick's knob but it cleans up nicely.
Pretty much, I think it's normal. Do you wear any jewlery, like rings, bracelets, etc? Back when I had my '00, my wife (while attempting to learn the gears) scratched the knob with her ring.

if you can't clean the scratches, you can always buy a new stock shiftknob from HandA for 67 bucks...or a nice voodoo knob from ricks for 30 bucks...
of course you might want to try getting a polishing wheel and throwing it on your drill...that should take out any scratches in no time...while leaving the dug-out shit gate intact

Try using some Pledge "Grab-It" dry wipes. They work so damn well!
