For the last few days, I keep hearing an odd ringing from the rear of my car. It only does it sometimes. I hear it most when I am going about 30mph on city streets but it's not constant. I don't seem to notice it at highway speeds. Has anyone else noticed this? or does anyone know what it might be?
Thanks

I get a ringing from the back, but only when I pull sharp u-turns. People tell me that it's from the LSD and is normal. However, since you're going straight and not turning, I'm not sure if the LSD is causing your problem. Do you think it could be the clutch?? See if the ringing only occurs at a certain RPM.

I've tried to narrow down when it happens but there doesn't seem to be any consistancy. I've already had the updated clutch installed and the noise isn't at all as obnoxious as the old clutch it's just a really slight ringing but now it's driving me crazy.
I think I'll be heading to the dealer soon.

It could be someone trying to get hold of you on the cell phone you dropped behind the seat last week. ![biggrin.gif](https://www.s2ki.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Seriously.....If the ringing noise seems to emanate from the muffler area, it could be the muffler itself, or one of the exhaust clamps vibrating against the chassis (my best guess). I used to hear the same thing until I changed from the stock exhaust to the Neuspeed one.

I had the same thing after the TSB
Took the car up to 120k one day and heard a clunk, the ringing is gone now.
Still have to go check it out, figure the guy left a tool in there or something
