Default Side stakes without drilling?

Anybody have them that hasnt had to drill in some nasty holes?
How do they hold up with double sided tape?
Can't beleive Honda made such a crappy rice install.

it will probably come loose without that hole on the side. the area that the side strakes attach to is a very convoluted region... it would be dificult to get a good seal without hardware.

PS: dont abuse the word 'RICE'

it will scrape even in stock height if you dont take the time to slow down, the little tiny self tapping screw is not going to how it in place when that happens.

drill it and forget it.

Also, on alot of older ap1's, the inside of the side strakes always split open, i have take it off and repair the inside at 100k.

other than that, they are great

I was going to say that myself...people toss that word around too much nowadays which have no correlation to what it was meant to describe originally.

have you ever seen a car with a fiberglass kit that dosn't fit that has screws holding it on everywhere. . A goood kit will come with the holes allready in the fender well and double sided tape. Anyways lets stay on topic here. Im wondering if anyone has done it without drinlling and how it held up. Im pretty shocked that honda made it in such a way.

dude, honda used lugs and bolts to put my car together,
that is soooo rice, why couldnt they have built the car with 3m tape arrr!!!

just messing hehehe

im with you on the side strakes, that and the oem spoiler would be on my car
no doubt if they were easily reversible options.

i think you'll be drilling no matter which side pieces you go with
