ok this is what xviper told me about 1 year ago.

SOME WORDS MAYBE EXAGERATED

this is just ridiculous. Have you ever heard you current stock exhaust.
now think of that just 2 feet away from your ear. and the carbon coming out of your exhuaast would make you have to clean your car every 2 miles

ok that is what he told me and i agree. i was thinking of the concept of the current viper exhaust
Wow! If I knew people hung onto every word I post, I'd be much more careful.

In any case, I still stand by that post. And this is coming from a guy who traditionally LOVED side exhaust. I had them put on my old Mustang and of course, they were on my old Viper. On these cars, it was in keeping with the theme of the time. The S2000 does not represent "old muscle car" era. It's kinda like a few oddball PT Cruiser owners who have put on those W I D E whitewall tires. I get the idea but it just doesn't work in real life execution.

But then, I've always been one who believes it is each owner's right to do with his car what he wants. However, when too many people start to do goofy things with their S2000's, I have the right to be embarassed and get rid of my S2000. (That Barbie Doll S2000 is pushing the envelope IMO. )

An addendum to the side exhaust and a rich running car like the S:
Can you spell, "Clean your rear wheels every 3 blocks"?
