the jiffy lubes im familiar with spoke weed while they sometimes change your oil. Sometime they just sorta forget

it did come in handy when my old car wouldn't pass inspection and they gave me an inspection sticker for 40 bones

btw both of these storys happened circa 1999 when i was still in hs/ and my friend worked for jiffy lube

now that i have a real car and friends dont work their, i never check out the jteam

just my 02

why the hell would you wait 30k miles until your first oil change? you think that me going to Jiffy Lube will "risk my engine".. what the hell do you think 30k miles without an oil change will do to the engine?!

you guys are way too quick to post something negative. take my post for what it is: me having a good experience and wanting to pass it along. quit getting your panties in a bunch over nothing.

and about playing "russian roulette".. how the hell do you figure? my daughter worked at a honda dealer and they had screwed up so many times on their cars. she took HER civic into her dealer for an oil change and they left the drain bolt loose. yea, real professionals. she now takes her car to Jiffy Lube (btw, Jerry is her ex boyfriend) and they all take good care of us.

Well, that's why I bought my car with the 30k warranty, isn't it? Why would I change my oil before it was required?

I go to honda and by a PCX filter and then go to Jiffy Lube. They are quick efficient and I don't have to make an appointment two weeks in advance like I do at Honda. I figure that they do oil changes all day so they probably have some idea what they are doing. BTW, the Jiffy Lubes here in Lynchburg Va still carry Mobil 1 synthetic, thats what I get every time. There's no doubt that Jiffy Lube is CAPABLE of performing a proper oil change. However, IMO, going to Jiffy Lube is like playing Russian Roulette with your S's engine's life. And you shouldn't have to give a company props for doing their job correctly. The fact that you felt compelled to just reinforces how often they screw up.
Like my local one? They did a quick oil change and a car died immediately after (not mine). They pulled the plug on the automatic transmission and drained it then dumped another load of oil in.

The car didn't like it one bit.

Don't listen to him man...he's just messing with you. He does that to a lot of people around here. He's a tough cookie to figure out.

Honda sucks! Got my oil change a few days ago at 26K miles after maint required lights came on, and the idiot who drove my car left the car in first gear after he drives it, ing idiot. Also they left oil stain or watever stain on my rear bumper that i had to use P21 stain remover to take out and some oily stuff on my sunblocker thingy where my cd weres. I'm afraid to go there for my 30K miles maintenance.... Jiffy Lube can probably do the 30K miles maintenance. Can you even go to honda and tell them, you want to drive and watch them do everything without sitting in the waiting room? I love my car, dont want anyone stupid to drive it.
