Should I worry about the clutch rattle?
I read a few posts where some people regret having the clutch rattle tsb done, claiming it either made it worse or started to rattle again after awhile. Should I even bother getting this done? (This will be out of my pocket since the car is not under warranty any more).

I just got mine back today and I've notice that the rattle completely went away. I'm glad I did it, but if the money was coming out of my pocket I would just wait untell I needed a new clutch. My car is a CPO to 100K miles and it was hell trying get my clutch changed under warranty at 50,000 miles but in the end I got it under warranty. I would just wait if I were you.

I was under the impression that the dealership changed the cluch disk for good faith and you didn't have to have a warranty. That's what the actual TSB reads from Honda. My cluch disk is being ordered as we speak. I do have a warranty though. Also, the dealer shound't give you a hard time becasue Honda reimburses them for the work and parts, so they aren't losing any money, it's Honda that's being hit in the pockets.

The best thing to do is try. I think that if you car is under the factory 3 years 36k miles warranty, you should no problem getting this fix under warranty. The dealer gets reimbures through Honda for fixing your car. After 3/36k factory warranty, I think it then goes through the dealers pocket and not Honda. I got rejected by American Honda but my dealer said they would do it.

What is this rattle about? My car makes a weird rattling noise after the clutch catches the flywheel in 1st gear at slow speeds (very noticeable). Not sure if this rattle is the same thing .... mine is an 05.

It looks like they are talking about the "clutch decel buzz"
When deccelrating in gear you hear a buzz or rattle coming from the clutch / gearbox at certain revs and is caused by the "loose" springs on the clutch disk (friction disk).
It is considered to be "just a noise" and has no mechanical side effects.
That sounds (in both ways) as something different.
Only in first gear?
You still have warranty on your car right?
Have a Honda tech and / or local member listen IMO.
