After he gets his car with a lease, his next post is "you guys didn't tell me it runs on premium gas", how do I get premim gas cheaper.
thanks alot dude,
and yeah i know it runs on premium!

I've got the money!
but whats wrong with trying to get the best deal!
if you dont want to help me why dont you just shut up

and for the fact that you are saying i'm in a instant gratification age,
i've been looking for a car for 6 months now,
first car was the SI, then VW GTI, G35, and now S2000

i just got a little carried away when i said i want it now!,

why don't you just lease for buy a used miata? if you love the thrill of driving a two seater convertible, but can't go big on the s2k then they would not be a bad alturnative. i would rather have you do that and save a huge down on an s2k then going crazy month to month with bills.

You're going to need to be a little more patient. You're asking the question late on a Saturday night and not even giving 15 min before you expect an answer.

Honda has run some pretty aggressive lease deals on the S2k in the recent past. I think their current deal is $349/mo for 36 months. Cap reduction seems high though at $4k...I definitely try to negotiate that down.
yeah, sorry about that, i got carried away! lol

thanks for the info though,
but man... 4k is alot!

did you also lease?

I didn't realize you were looking at leasing because you couldn't afford it... IMO, if you think $4k is a lot of money then don't do it to yourself.

You will be hurting from it, I promise you will... you are excited now, but you are probably going to end up ****ING up your credit and you won't be able to get a nice car, or a car AT ALL in the NEAR future.
It won't be a long time down the line when you will have the problem of not being able to get the car, it will be very soon after you get the S2K...

How much do you BRING HOME after taxes every month, and what are your total expenses right now, including RENT, FOOD, MOVIES, CLOTHES, UTILITIES?

If after spending all that, and then paying your car note... if you don't have atleast $1k-$1.5k left over that you DO NOT SPEND and can just put into the bank, then I would not get the car, IMO.

^ thank you
yeah, i was thinking all that too,
putting everything into my calculation...
but yeah, i am borderlined

i'm 20 right now, but if i get a car, its probably gonna be under my dad's name, and i'll just be paying him.

but i bring home about 650 a week, thats aftere taxes and everything.

but thank you for your input!
very helpful

Why put it under your dad's name? You apply, with him as a co-signer, so that you build your credit...

I'm 20 and the car is on my credit only, I put down $5k though. (finance, not lease)

i dont have credit though...
i've been using a debit card all this time
can you still lease a car with a good interest rate, even if you just start a credit line?
