Default Should I go to the dealer?

Well I was wondering why my softtop wasn't closing all the way...........I sched an appt with the dealer tomm to get it looked at but then today I just found it was a TSB # 02065 https://www.s2ki.com/home/uploadfiles/A02-065.pdf

so If I have an extended waaranty should I get this for free? Also Should I have honda pay for this or buy modifrys straps?? Its not big deal it will go down all the way if I push one of the elastic bars also down when I lower the top. Need to know ASAP since my appt is tommorow. Should I have thgem pay for it which is my warranty is for well honda extended or me do this?

If you're still under warranty and there's a TSB, they should fix it for you free of charge.

Well I just called them again...and she told me its up to the type of warranty I have and sometimes some TSBS aren't free?

Well I have a honda certified wtih the honda extended warranty? Is there more than one? She sounded kind of suprised I think when I told her the exact TSB and what I knew was wrong. They told me it would take em hour or so to 1.5 to figure out whats wrong when I bring her in. This was before I let her know about the TSB. I did not want to pay for inspection!!

She will call tomm but I', thinking I will call honda warranty tommorow again to before i go in. I hope I'm not paying for this. This is at Honda of Fife in Tacoma Washignton or pretty much Fife. Wish me luck I've never deatl with dealrships and TSBs before

Hmmmm.... seems to me you might want to follow the advice on the TSB

"Out of warranty: Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work. "

Just ask. If they say no, ask again and politely prove your point. If they still say no, go above the district parts and svc mgr.

Good luck!

Doug

but I have the HOA extended warranty wouldnt that be good for TSBs??

Also how would I go above district and service manager? (never did warnaty claim before) If this doesnt work I'll go elsewhere but this experiance will def make me not purchase a HONDA again if this is the tpye of BS we get as a customer of Hondas top car.....
