It's an INSULT for them to even offer it at that price.

I agree with all the NO!'s here! 900 miles and stolen and they
want MSRP? What a bunch of a***oles. I bet you could talk
them down to MSRP. If not, there are plenty of places that
will do it, you just have to look around.

Here in Colorado, I bought my stook in Feb, and most of the
dealers here want $2500+ over MSRP. I managed to find two
that were available and not spoken for, and I talked the dealers
down until one of them finally gave it up for MSRP!

First, it is probably illegal for them to sell it.

Second, the extended warranty is void due to the history.

Third, the engine probably WAS blown, and the dealer's mechanic got it working again.

But, if you do some research about legality, run a quick title check based on the VIN (and find a damaged title due to a cliam), you have a good chance of getting it for VERY cheap if you promise not to turn them in.

If the dealer got an insurance settlement on the car (of ANY kind) it is not legal for them to sell it, and they may not even technically own it!

What he said. If you ever go back there, write down the VIN and open the hood and trunk. Check that all the vins match, there is one on every body panel and also check the the VIN stamped into the chassis behind the engine. Then post it here and the name and details of the dealer.

That is an f***ing joke!

Not really...the lock turns when a screwdriver is inserted, just like all other cars, and as has been pointed out before, anyone with a Helm's manual can quickly figure out what wire to snip to remove the immobilizer's effectiveness. Let the joy rides begin!
