Default Should I?

Hello everyone, my name is Mike and I wanted to start by saying I love the S2K lol. I have owned a few cars in the past, G35 sedan, Acura TSX, BMW 335i, and now a G35 coupe. I liked most of the cars I owned, however they are not really fun cars my G35 coupe is it is the only manual trany one I have owned. I really like tracking cars and what better car then the S2k CR. Here is my question what do you guys think of me trading my G35 in for the S2k? why or why not just want to see what you guys say I also posted this at the Infiniti forums to see what they say. I know a lot about both cars performance and handling wise. however I don't know much about the S2000 as a daily driver. They CR that I found is loaded so it comes with AC and everything for DD. Here are some things I have done to my G I will try to post pictures when I get home sorry using my phone can't post pics. Full body kit (nothing ricy), full exhaust except headers, Tein basic coil-overs, intake, CF trunk, and a few more minor upgrades. Before you guys start telling me to search I have and I did read a lot about people comparing the 350z and the S2k and I really don't need the rear seats so that does not bother me that much, just a few ideas you guys might give me to make my decision easier.

Thank you very much
-Mike

Depends what you are going to use the car for(which type of tracking) and whether you will be modding it. It's not as simple as throwing on some tein(basic or flex) coilovers. Those are considered a downgrade from the C/R suspension. It's a car that people mod carefully not to add too much more weight and/or parts that break the wallet yet do nothing or almost nothing as a performance benefit.

When you say track, do you mean HPDE's or drag racing? I assume you mean DE's since that is where the S really shines. If it helps I just picked up my s2k and chose it over a s4 to use as a daily. I am 6'4" and love driving it everyday. If you mean drag racing then stick with the G. Good luck!

Here are my thoughts, what I am thinking of doing correct me if I'm wrong please. CF hood, trunk, maybe CF roof also, a single exhaust really want something light weight like j's racing or amuse I read that the intake is great on these cars so maybe a good filter, some light weight wheels Volks maybe. And later on a Comptech SC. Suspension wise I have to do some research I guess I have not really looked that much maybe you guys can help

Well if you are like myself and totally love track events then to me picking up a s2k is a no brainer. You will love the handling coming from a larger car.

Both cars are fun in its own right. However, like whats been said above, if you're into track events then you're going to be grinning from ear to ear with the s2k. the exclusiveness of the CR itself is one of the main reasons why i'd get the CR as well.

No need for a C/F hood on an s2k...Stock hood is aluminum and is the same weight if not lighter than a c/f hood(unless it dry carbon, that's a different discussion).

Trunk is your choice(I wouldn't get a C/F one unless I was putting a wing on it).

C/F roof is not very beneficial unless you get the Amuse c/f HT, but that's like 10k and really rare. Stick with the oem aluminum one, 44 lb's. Or you can go with a carbon infused Mugen style that's around 17lbs.

Then main upgrades for a C/R I have seen at the track...

1. Behind the wheel practice
2. Flashpro
3. Single exhaust under 20 lbs.
4. Lightweight wheels(Ce28's, Rpf1's, Motegi tracklites)
5. Kw v3 or Clubsport coilovers
