Put me on the list to. #4 failed on me 10/01...and Honda paid for it, including rebuilding my tranny for the 2nd gear prob., as well as replacing my passenger HID bulb, driver rear tail light assembly b/c of moisture & my seats b/c the seams were splitting. But the only thing that has happened to my girlfriends S2K is her rear-end Diff. is kinda screwed up.

Just an FYI!

oh and BTW, the ticket on my car was for $19,000.00 if I had to pay it out of pocket and $11,000.00 for Honda to pay period.

The list is growing.

Does anyone know of any '03 F20C or any '02 F20C after engine number 1025386 has had a major failure? I'm curious as to whether the revised oil jet bolts are making a difference. Woodwork did post in another thread that the 4 hole oil jet bolts were intended to resolve an issue unrelated to the #4 cylinder scoring.

How loud is this ticking sound, is it noticeable from inside the cabin?

I hear little ticks when the engine is cold..but nothing that jumps out at you to say that there could be problems..just being paranoid here.

I am starting to think that I should have gone with a bullet proof V6 like the VQ engine. Lack of confidence in the engine sucks.

Yes, I'd like to know if fewer F20C engines in the U.S.A. fail after the change over to the four hole design. I know that the new four hole bolts have at least three differences from the original two hole bolts: four holes, holes placed higher, different spring tension on internal spring. I'd like to see if we a dramatic decrease in these oil starvation failures.

Some failures are bound to continue. One owner had an oil filter fail and that let all his oil drain out before the engine seized. Some owners have let their engines use up four of the five quarts of oil. Some owners have over-revved to 12,000 or have used nitrous or forced induction. Engines will continue to fail. I'd like to see a noticable decrease and I'd love it personally if the four hole oil jet bolts made a difference.

This is normal. I think it is from the timing chain.
