A shop is replacing my crashed AP1 bumper with AP2
My car was in an accident and the front bumper is being replaced. I was able to get them to order an AP2 bumper to install.
Is all they have to do for it to fit is, trim the flex reducer thing or whatever it is called? The spacer between the actual bumper and the bumper cover.
I know I will need a new grill and tow hook cover right? Do they not come with the tow hook cover when the bumper is bought new?
Also do I need to get a new air duct thing for the bottom of the bumper to direct air to the radiator or anything?
Is it correct I told them they only need to trim that flex piece behind the bumper for the conversion to work? Or will they be stuck doing all sorts of things for it to fit right?
All bolt holes line perfectly up correct?

Yeah I will see. I have a feeling things might get a little messed up. I think they ordered those parts for the AP1 bumper. I will probably just order them and then worse case scenario I will sell them online. I don't think they will buy another grill since the AP1 grill was in fine condition.

The AP1 grille will not work on an AP2 bumper. You need the tow hooks and the grille. They might tell you to replace the rubber piece under the engine that connects to the bumper...you really don't have to. Is your car staying at the shop? If so I'm sure they're charging you daily to keep it there. Why not just get the bumper painted from them and install it yourself? It's not hard at all, just bolt-ons and you'll save money.
