Default Shocks question

I am considering lowering my car, but I am a real fan of the way that the car handles on stock suspension with just a couple of alignment tweaks. My driving abilities are not good enough yet to warrant fully adjustable dampers, but I really want to lower the car about an inch or so.

Has anyone personally used the Spoon fixed dampers on their car? I was thinking of using those dampers with a set of Swift or Spoon lowering springs.

Any suggestions welcome!

Why not get some Koni adjustable shocks and some lowering springs? Probably cheaper than the Japanese boutique brands.

Or use the lower perch on the Konis with your stock springs.

The spoon fixed dampers look like yellow painted oem showas, not sure they're any different, and @ $1000 not sure you want to experiment. Every event that I've run in the S was on stock dampers with lowering springs, espelir, and I was faster than some people with track "proven" coilovers. The lowering springs do nothing for lap times, if anything they hamper them. Get out there and learn your car in stock or relatively stock trim before you start to make changes, otherwise you will be chasing your setup FOREVER.

I'll update this when I get them and install them. It should be a few weeks.

With the extra weight of the SC/AC, and the Eibach Pro Kit, the yellows don't have enough compression damping. With that kind of setup, even the OEM (MY00) shocks could use a little more damping.

Emil, do you know whether or not Koni can/will revalve the yellows?
