I will soon be shipped four tires on the wheels and would like to know the best way to go about it. I've shipped tires before and shipped wheels before, but I have yet to experience a mounted set. I know its being done out there - that's how a few friends have received their new sets from Tire Rack.

So, have you shipped wheels and tires before? if so, please post any recommendations and cost estimates. They will be shipped from NY to TX.

Do it just like Tire Rack. Heavy cardboard on both sides of the wheel and fiber tape around each to hold it in place. I shipped four wheels and tires from Oregon to Dallas UPS for $120.
