Default Shipping S2000 Across Country?

Has anyone shipped their S2K a long distance? I need to ship mine out to Seattle (from New York) before the end of the year. Is rail better than truck? How much do you think it ought to cost me?

TIA,
Cheers

I bought a Porsche in California and had it shipped to Cinti. There are a lot of carriers that specialize in this. Pick up a Hemmings motor news. I would get an enclosed one if it is late in the year because of dirt but open is cheaper. f you give them notice they might be hauling cars for a race or show that one more will make it cheaper for you and fill their truck.

Checkout "Horseless Carriage." I've heard good things about them.

$895 Enclosed carrier from Boston to Cali. This was $500 from the dealer. Regular price is around $1400. Terminal to terminal. You will probably pay around $1200-$1500 for enclosed carrier.
