moldings and trims that are made of rubber-
on the top where it meets door/ windows/ windshield... etc.
i heard that it's once a 3 months-
but some just don't bother at all, and their car seem perfectly fine.
you wanna use a very small amount at a time, since it makes a total mess.
you will hate it making all those grease marks on your windows for a month.

I used it about 2 mos ago, before all the summer rain began. Just get a piece of an old t-shirt or similar and use it on every place where rubber makes a seal. It's primarily for the rubber contact points on the top but I used it on the door and trunk seals also. Just wipe a thin layer on. You will know if you used too much because it dries white. We have broken every rain record in south florida lately, almost 40 straight days of wet and I haven't seen one leak.

Where: Door seals, window seals, trunk seal, hood seals, & seal between convertible top and top of windshield.
How Much: A very thin coating. To do all of the above you should use less than 1/5 tube of grease.
How often: Every 6 months.
Tips: Wipe all the rubber down with a wet towel before you apply the grease. Do this relatively gently as I have actually ripped seals on other cars while wiping them down a little too vigorously. I blob a little grease on every few feet directly from the tube to the seal. Use some T-shirt material or your fingers to smooth it out into a thin layer.
Expect some grease to "plate" out on you windows at the seal for a few weeks after application. If it bugs you, just clean it off with your favorite window cleaner.
Buy the grease from H and A one of our site sponsors for around $10.00 per tube. One tube should last you several years.

I haven't used my tube yet, but one tip I've read on this site is to let it dry for 30 minutes or so, then wipe off the excess - this minimizes the residue on your windows.
