Shin-Etsu Grease

Shin-Etsu Grease
Bought some Shin-Etsu Grease today at the local Honda dealership. Not as expensive as everyone here claims....$14.00
The guy at the counter says in the 20 plus years he's worked in the parts department....this is the first time he's ever heard of or sold Shin-Etsu Grease....guess you learn something every day.
Anyway, as I was reading the manual to my 95 Del Sol I realized the maintenance instructions specifically recommend Shin-Etsu Grease for the targa top seals.
So, I applied it to the Sol...really easy and not messy when you use a rubber glove...
Also applied it to the trunk seals as well as the hood and door seals...
It's eliminated all the squeaks...
Plan to apply it to the S tomorrow...

Shin Etsu silicone lube is great stuff... I apply it about once a year to eliminate squeaks from my hard top; it should also help keep all rubber seals more pliable, water-tight, and last longer.
I apply Shin Etsu liberally to all the soft black rubber seals on the outside edges of the hard/soft top and windshield rubber where the top mates to the windshield, body and around the windows; I also apply it to the trunk rubber seals.
Highly recommended for rubber seals on ALL cars.
