Was it easy to install?
pop off your center console (it snaps off)
disconnect wires
unscrew the 2 switches
snip/ grind 2 plastic tabs
pop out trim ring and remove old boot
place in new boot and do the reverse
I got my instructions from ricks website under installations i believe.
1.5/10 on difficulty

Nah, I have charcoal alcantara shift & e-brake boots in my M3. They look brand new after 4+ years. Only cleanup required is a light vacuum.

Congrats.. Always fun to upgrade.
I've never been into suede or alcantara and alcantara is not actually leather that has been sueded. I assume thats part of the savings in the price. Alcantara is manufatured textile fabric instead of being made from animal hide. The Ricks boot I was looking at getting with contrasting stitch in leather is also only $40. Alcantara is a better choice then suede for durability but, I like leather over both.

Happy New Year everyone!
How about a 25% discount to the first person that responds with interest to a shift boot
