Shifting habit
Lately I've noticed that I have acquired a shifting habit from driving my first stick shift car which was a pick up, and still use it in the s2000.
When going in 3rd or 4th gear at low rpms (2k-4k), and slowing down, I push/pull the knob from gear to neutral without pressing in the clutch, instead of clutching and then putting in neutral when coming to a complete stop...Does this make sense?
Is this normal? Does it have any negative effects on the transmission?

It wears out the sychromesh which is designed to keep the car in gear. If you unload the transmission the wear will be small, but it's still there.
At some point you'll be asking, 'Why does my car jump out of gear in 3rd or 4th?'
Use the clutch!!!!!
