Shift Knob/Shift boot from Rick's
This is my first try at posting a pic here - hope it works.
Since I have seen a few threads about Rick's service, etc lately, I need to say that I am a happy camper. I'm also now 55 and don't require instant gratification. The textured black voodoo knob took less than a week to arrive and the blue leather boot took about 2 weeks - it came directly from Townsend Leather. Quality of both was top-notch. The black stitching was flawless.
The instructions for the boot were excellent. I used a 1/2" drill bit to remove the 2 plastic tabs. It was one of the methods suggested by Rick and it worked good - I didn't even have to put the bit in a drill, just turned it by hand and the tabs were gone in a few turns. My only problem was that I decided to put some leather conditioner on the leather. So then I started rubbing it a lot to give it a more worn look. The leather sure felt good. Then I rolled it in a ball and played some more. Next thing I know, an hour had gone by. The old OCD had surfaced once again.
Some had said that the blue leather didn't match as good as some of the other colors, but I am very pleased.

Shift pattern label came from an Acura dealer. It was used on several years of NSX - around '97. I always liked NSX's and the shift pattern emblem gives me a part of one.
