Service Denied fro TSB-54
I took my car into the local shop, had a copy of TSB54, and asked for the service on the car. I was told that the "fix" for this does not fix the problem, and that Honda was working on a new "fix".
Has anyone had the work done, and still have a problem? Or is my dealer trying to duck the work? Has anyone heard of a new fix?
Thanks!

It doesnt fix the 'disease' but it does fix the 'symptom'. Thus far it has worked great for me (2 weeks since the fix). The problem isnt a functional problem (AFAIK), so the work around is just to change one of the things that . If you can demonstrate the problem, I dont see a reason the fix should be denied.

my dealer service manager told me that the fix is now in place, according to him Honda had asked all service departments to hold off on the TSB until a fix was in place.

Hmmm, looks like I'll have to wait a little longer before getting mine done.
Speculation: This site mentions a tranny update for the 2002 cars; if true, this update might be superseding the TSB54/55 fixes?? Kudos to Honda if they've found a more permanent fix and are retroactively implementing it on pevious model years.

TSB 054 is the clutch fix! (Replace clutch disc) However from what I heard the fix was initially not correct and owners were returning with the same problem. At that point Honda asked all service managers to refrain from doing anymore until Honda had a permanent fix in place AND at that time the service managers would do TSB 054. I have the problem with both TSB's 054 & 055 and went to my dealer Monday and he said the fix was now in place and he would order the parts and call me to set up an appointment. I see conflicting reports from other S2K owners here on the forum about this so I am very confused as to fact or BS!!
