The only reason I care is becuase I want to get a brand new one, and it isn't likely that I can buy one for another year...

Does everyone just go through this "phase" around this time of year. Everyyear some douche bag (usually someone at the dealership, or some lame dude trying to sell his car) claims that they heard "straight from Sochiro Honda" that the S2000 is being discontinued.

My dealer told me that the S2000 doesn't have spark plugs...must be true.
